Monday

This morning was grocery day. I masked up, took my Clorox wipe to wipe down the cart handle and forged ahead. $200.00 later, everything is put away and done. I used to like going to the grocery store. Time to think and meander down the aisles....now, not so much.

Yesterday morning from about 1:00 a.m. to 4:00 a.m. we had visitors in the yard. The security camera went off 7 times.

I HAD five or six roses left on this bush. Not any more.

Later on, the whole family showed up.

On to knitting:

I have about four more inches before I start short rows, and then the ribbed band at the bottom. Then the sleeves.

I took this picture while on our walk the other day. I thought that the cloud looked kind of like an extension of the tree.

Hope you all have a good day.

  2. Great shot of your cloud tree! And the sweater is gorgeous. Sorry about the deer...they seem to eat everything!

    1. Thank you! It was really amazing in real life. But the picture kind of tells the story. Thanks on the sweater. I am whizzing through it.

  3. Nice to see the wildlife, but why can't they feast on weeds? I love the photo of the cloud tree.

    1. They like the finer things in life, I guess! Lol
Thank you. One of those instances where the real thing was much more striking.

    1. I have been knitting like a fiend lately. Trying to stay away from politics at this point.

  5. The deer made pretty quick work of my hostas and black-eyed Susans the other day. The also got the rose bushes, but there weren't any roses left on there. They just ate the twigs.

Your sweater looks BEAUTIFUL! You got done a LOT very quickly.

    1. My Black-eyed Susan was hit, too. Thanks for the kind words! With this sweater, I am definitely a product and not a project knitter! I'm rushing through to get to the end result!

  6. Oh, those 'pruners' can get carried away! They wipe out a whole squash plant overnight here, too! The sweater is looking great--I love to work on a sweater--I don't need them is my problem! lol

    1. My veggie plants were behind a fence in the back, thank goodness.
      Thanks for the compliment!

  7. If only the deer just looked beautiful and weren't such pests. In my yard, it's the chipmunks, whose tunnels are destroying my plants and trees by hurting their root systems.

You have made quick progress on that sweater! I really like the colours.

    1. I used to have a chipmunk that would shimmy the shepherd's hook and jump onto the bird feeder and stuff his cheeks. Haven't seen one in years, though.
Thank you for the sweater compliment!

  8. I didn't realize deer like roses! Dave and I are talking about moving to the country in the next year... If we do, I'm really going to have to pay attention to what I plant!

    The sweater is looking great!

    1. Just buy DeerOut and spray the plants. They stay away. It's late in the season, and I got lackadaisical about spraying. Hence, the feast.
Thank you for the kind words about the sweater.

  9. I used to like grocery shopping too but it's a big chore right now. We had a delivery this morning and lugging it in then sorting and cleaning wore me out.

    1. I haven't had groceries delivered yet. But I do have other things coming by mail and Amazon. It's a strange world right now.

  10. I used to like it as well but not anymore. I get frustrated when things are not in stock. Lovely knitting!!

    1. Yes, it is frustrating! I asked one of the people working at my grocery why there are so many off brands right now. He said there are shortages, and they're buying stock from places that can't use their stuff right now. He said lots of soaps etc. come from cruise ship companies. I'm just hoping that it gets back to normal soon.
